Rangers Still Lead Series 2-1

Got shutout by Simeon Varlamov.  Nice.  Caps finally did what everyone has been wanting them to do: score.  Hope the commentators are happy that the series is shaping up in the direction of their choice.  Semin the Slapper had two goals, which upset me even more.  We need to be much more aggressive on Wednesday night

Just watched the Flames-Blackhawks game!  Very intense.  Huge scrum in the last 30 seconds of gametime.  Jarome Iginla smote Adam Burish.

Ah, almost forgot…there were some things that I wanted to discuss from the Flyers-Penguins game.  I like the pairing of Timonen with Parent on defense.  They really locked down Crosby and Malkin on Sunday and dealt out some decent hits.  I know Kimmo can handle himself but I like having him paired with Parent (big, young, fast); Kimmo seems able to help him focus and Parent keeps Timonen on his toes.  Notice how after the Kunitz hit on Timonen, Parent immediately went after Kunitz and Hartnell decided to take it to another level.  This whole Kunitz-Timonen battle was an interesting sideshow during the 3rd game and I’m sure Tuesday night’s game will continue it.  And lest anyone forget: Crosby and Parent had an altercation in the playoffs last season.  Oooh, another facet in an already ridiculously fierce rivalry.
